Discover Shasha's Creole Kitchen

Shasha's Creole Kitchen is the kind of place that draws you in with the promise of authentic, soul-warming Creole cuisine. Located at 579 Berlin - Cross Keys Rd, Sicklerville, NJ, this cozy gem offers a blend of rich flavors, vibrant spices, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the delightful aromas of seasoned meats, fresh seafood, and a menu that celebrates the heart and soul of Creole cooking.

One of the standout dishes at Shasha's is their Jambalaya. This classic Creole dish is a perfect combination of rice, vegetables, sausage, chicken, and shrimp, all cooked to perfection with bold spices. The smoky flavor and rich textures make each bite an experience. It’s not just a meal; it's an invitation to dive into the flavors of the bayou, the streets of New Orleans, and the heart of Creole culture. The seasoning is spot-on, with just the right balance of heat and depth of flavor, making it a customer favorite.

The Gumbo, another crowd-pleaser, embodies the essence of Creole cuisine. It’s a hearty, flavorful soup filled with tender chicken, sausage, and seafood, simmered for hours to bring out every rich, delicious note. What makes it truly special is the roux, which is a labor of love and a skill passed down through generations. At Shasha's, they make their roux the traditional way, and it shows in the thick, velvety texture of the gumbo. Whether you’re a gumbo connoisseur or trying it for the first time, this dish won’t disappoint.

For something a bit lighter, the Shrimp Po' Boy is a fantastic option. Served on freshly baked bread with crispy shrimp, lettuce, tomato, and a tangy remoulade sauce, it’s a simple yet satisfying sandwich. The shrimp are perfectly seasoned and fried to a golden crisp, making each bite a burst of flavor. If you’re in the mood for something different, Shasha’s also offers a variety of side dishes that complement the main courses perfectly, from fried okra to mashed potatoes, each made with the same care and attention to detail.

The ambiance at Shasha's Creole Kitchen is just as inviting as the food. The warm, rustic décor creates a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a family gathering. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to share the story behind the dishes and offer suggestions if you’re not sure what to try. This level of service truly adds to the overall experience, making you feel like you're part of the Shasha’s family.

But it’s not just about the food - it’s the experience that keeps people coming back. Many loyal customers rave about the consistency of the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. Shasha’s doesn’t cut corners, and that’s reflected in every bite. For example, the seasoning on the fried chicken is consistently bold and flavorful, while the portions are generous enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites. And don’t forget about dessert - the bread pudding is a sweet, comforting way to finish off your meal, with its rich texture and just the right amount of sweetness.

Reviews from both locals and visitors highlight the restaurant’s commitment to quality and tradition. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s an experience that transports you to the streets of Louisiana, with every bite telling a story. The combination of expert cooking, genuine hospitality, and authentic Creole flavors makes Shasha's Creole Kitchen a standout in Sicklerville. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, you’re sure to find something that will keep you coming back for more.

  • The real deal. Food was amazing and these guys were super accommodating. We got the beef patty, ox tail with black rice and sweet plantains, creole shrimp with rice and beans and the Mac, they also brought out a cheesecake that was really good. Was our first time there and will definitely be back. Thanks everyone

  • This was my first time eating hatian food. The woman at the counter was very nice and helped me pick out something to try. I ended up getting the shrimp creole with cabbage and black rice. The cabbage was great, and lightly sour. I would order it again for my side. I'm glad I tried the black rice, and I can see the appeal, but it wasn't personally to my taste. The sauce on the creole shrimp is divine. You could serve it to me without a single shrimp and I'd be happy (there were plenty of shrimp).

  • This is the absolute BEST Haitian food I've EVER had in all my life! I am Puerto Rican & very pickie with food. The black rice is authentic & seasoned to perfection. The Oxtails are tender & seasoned to the point you must have MORE! Hands down, I advise you to try this spot. You won't regret it! The atmosphere feels welcomed like home. It is extremely clean & priced right. I encourage you all to support this wonderful establishment so they can continue satisfying our tummies the way they pleased my family & I. I seriously can not wait to go back next week!! This husband & wife work very hard to please & I acknowledged this. They were very friendly, leaving us with the desire to return which is rare these days. They're hands on with their customers & continue to ensure we were content, asking if we needed anything else. Absolutely wonderful, warm, kind & loving people. It all shows in their cooking. I really pray all blessings to Sasha's Creole Kitchen in Sicklerville. Thank you from our home to yours!

  • My boyfriend and I randomly picked this restaurant. The service was great! It’s hard to find service like what we experienced today. The food was fantastic and the gentleman who took our order was confident in their cooking. They didn’t disappoint. We will definitely be back again! This was one of the best experiences in a long time. Great food, great people!

  • Delicious dinner! The only challenge was that the food took quite some time, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Al (the owner) was proactive and let us know that the food would take a while because they had a big event last night and gave us a Haitian Patty to help hold us over. Once our meals came, they were delicious. I had the goat and sauce with sos pwa and cabbage. It was tasty and the portion size was great. I can't wait to get back there and try the rest of the menu!

  • Man oh man, when I tell you that I was pleased with the food I got, trust me on this! I had griot (fried pork) with fried green plantains and their vegetable of the day (cabbage). It was delicious. They don't have a lot of main course meal options, but you can't go wrong with what I got! I'll definitely be there at least 2-3 more times before I can really have an assessment on this place. So far I'm satisfied with this restaurant.

  • My boyfriend and I ate here tonight and the food was delicious! He’s Haitian and confirmed that it was all cooked really well! He usually doesn’t like griot but kept eating mine, while my favorite dish was the djon djon with sauce to put on top. Fair pricing and friendly, helpful staff. I definitely recommend Sasha’s!
